The
first Windows version of Shelly was released, Shelly
V5.0 (all prior versions were DOS).
Shelly entered into a formal non-exclusive agreement with
JD Edwards to coordinate Shelly’s software with JD
Edwards’ French operations. |

Shelly
V7.0 was released as the first Advanced Planning and
Scheduling module in the company’s standard
software. This version also brought event-driven capability
management to Shelly software, which made the product adaptable
to a wide range of technologies, including RFID.
The JD Edwards contract was extended to all French-speaking
European countries. |

Shelly
V7.5 and Shelly V8.0 were released, and the company takes
on additional
high-profile clients
(see Client page).
Shelly’s business relationship with JD Edwards was
extended to Canada, and Shelly signed an agreement to work
with Price Waterhouse Coopers Consulting in Canada. |

Shelly
V8.5 and Shelly V8.75 were released, featuring a new
Database Link Management module that enabled
Shelly’s connectivity and interoperability with all
ERPs and similar databases.
When JD Edwards and PWC each entered company mergers, Shelly
opted to exit its agreements with the two firms. By this
time, Shelly was strong enough to continue operations in
Europe independent of such partnerships.

All
customer versions of Shelly are automatically updated
annually to keep
the entire customer base at the
same version level, currently Shelly V9.0.
With its goal to continually advance and strengthen its
products, Shelly entered the 21st century by expanding
its presence into the United States. Corporate headquarters
were established in Charlotte, North Carolina. |
